There is not much to report. I enjoy all of my classes (okay... not Global Studies -so far) and professors. One, Dr. Hunt, has already recognized me outside of the classroom. We signed up for more field programs, which Im very excited about. Im doing an Operation Hunger service project in Africa, which Im very excited for, as well as other service projects and fun things. I cant wait for Spain! Four more days! Its a bit tough trying to plan things out with your new found friends, especially working around field programs.
So far weve passed through four time zones (EDT, AST, GFT, GST), and well be going through another one tonight, and two more before we hit Spain! Yay sleep...
Were currently going 14 knots and its a bit rocky - but we started off this voyage going 19! These swells are huge! I have not seen a whale yet, but some people have claimed to have seen sea turtles and dolphins - but no big deal on the dolphins since I live in Florida.

Last night we had a BBQ dinner with a Mash Up dance afterward to celebrate the 100th voyage. It was really fun and the outfits were crazy! And dinner was good - I had a cheeseburger and a baked potato!
Yesterday, I took a tour of the Bridge, and got to wear the captains hat and sit in his chair! Apparently, if we ran all four engines we would of gotten to Spain in 4 days - but alas, we have classes. We also learned that the ship uses 56 tons of fuel a day!
Im a bit worried about one of my classes, because he has assigned a lot of reading - but I think it will all work out in the end.
Also, the night before last, I had a dream that the voyage was canceled - I was very relieved when I woke up to a big rocking motion of the boat.
Ive found a few people to hang out with Cadiz, who are as broke as me! And theyre cool girls that I met the last night in Halifax that I really like! I plan to see flamenco dancers, because Bryent says its a must. Im also going to Seville with SAS on Monday. Other than that, there isnt much planned! Probably hitting up the coastline one of the days, as well as a club or bar one of the nights!

Dear Brooke Schnook,
im so happy to hear what a great time you're having and that you are finally experiencing your dreams. you of all people deserve it. things have been bomb here in minnesoohta, as good as it can get for 30 degree weather in august. tyler took me to this wicked concert that i was front row center for devildriver. i kept yelling at the guitarist, michael spritzer, telling him i love him, to marry me, etc. after the last song, he grabbed my hand and slipped me his guitar pic. MY HEART WAS SO HAPPY. it was better than eating four krispy kremes chased with monster BFCs on the beach in florida. well. minus the florida. im thinking im still moving down dec 26th. tyler wants to be in clearwater for new years, so he can just come down with me and then go home whenever. I MISS YOU BEST FRIEND. by the way, i dont remember if you secretly slipped your darth vader lego into my bag when i wasnt looking, or if i have impaired my brain that much that i dont remember you giving it to me. either way, it was an awesome surprise to find when i got to MN (notice i didnt call it home). :) Brooke, i miss you and i hope you are having the time of your life. lets get freaky at the tiki! ALSO. how is the force like ductape? it has a dark side, a light side, and binds the universe together. and i have a knock knock joke for you. since you're not here, ill play your role.
jet black sarah: knock knock.
brooke schnook: who's there?
JBS: Dook.
BS: Dook who?
bahahaha. i love you.
